Position Overview
As a Senior Data Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, you will lead and deliver comprehensive data analytic solutions across system, division, and business levels. In this role, you'll serve as a bridge between technical data systems and business needs, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights. You'll work closely with diverse stakeholders to identify information needs, ensure data integrity through cleansing and validation processes, and develop sophisticated analytical tools that drive decision-making. The position requires expertise in translating business requirements into technical specifications, performing descriptive and diagnostic analytics, and creating predictive and prescriptive models that explore relationships between entities and events. Your work will directly influence strategic initiatives and operational effectiveness across the organization.
What You'll Do
Lead Data Analytics Initiatives: Identify business intelligence needs and develop solutions of moderate to high complexity
Design & Develop: Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools like Tableau
Ensure Data Quality: Perform data cleansing, validation, and maintain data integrity standards
Manage Data Modeling: Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models
Provide Technical Guidance: Support team members on complex issues and stay current with emerging technologies
Support Stakeholders: Work with project teams and business areas to resolve issues and communicate data insights
Drive Process Improvement: Make recommendations to enhance data integrity and workflows
Represent the Organization: Potentially serve on System-level initiatives and workgroups
Qualifications for Success
Bachelor's degree or equivalent 4 years of experience
4-5 years of relevant data analytics experience
Knowledge of data architecture principles and data quality assurance
Experience with database management systems and business intelligence concepts
Strong data modeling, scripting, and programming abilities
Excellent analytical and communication skills
