Why we're hiring for this role
As Zocks continues to scale, our data complexity is growing across product, customer success, and go-to-market functions. We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst & Analytics Engineer who will take ownership of our analytics data layer – designing robust data models, building scalable data pipelines, and enabling reliable, self-serve analytics across the company.
This role goes beyond dashboard creation. You will shape how data flows, how metrics are defined, and how product and business teams make decisions based on trusted, well-structured data.
This role can evolve toward a stronger data engineering focus as our data platform matures.
Your Impact Areas:
- Product Analytics & Usage Intelligence:
- Partner with Product Managers to define and measure product KPIs
- Design internal dashboards to track usage, engagement, retention, and feature adoption
- Own metric definitions and ensure consistency across the company
- Support experimentation and feature performance analysis
- In-App Analytics & Data Modeling (SQL-Heavy):
- Build and maintain SQL-driven in-app dashboards
- Design scalable data models to support product-facing analytics
- Develop and optimize complex SQL transformations
- Contribute to building and maintaining data pipelines
- Improve data architecture to support growing analytics needs
- Customer Success & Revenue Metrics:
- Develop and maintain metrics that demonstrate customer value (e.g. time saved, efficiency gained)
- Build dashboards for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success
- Support revenue analytics and performance reporting
- Ensure business-critical metrics are accurate and aligned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Fluent English and Hungarian language knowledge
- Strong SQL expertise (complex joins, window functions, performance optimization)
- Experience designing data models for analytics use cases
- Experience working with AWS-based data infrastructure
- Strong understanding of data transformation and pipeline logic
- Experience supporting product analytics or B2B SaaS environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
- Python for data processing
- Event-based product analytics experience
- Experience building self-serve analytics layers
