Responsibilities:
- Extract, clean, and integrate data from Engineering, Product, and business systems.
- Develop and maintain dashboards in Power BI to visualize Engineering and Product metrics (e.g. velocity, throughput, cycle time, defect leakage, release success rate).
- Translate raw data into actionable insights to support decision-making across the SDLC and Agile delivery lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product stakeholders to define, refine, and align key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics and objectives.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and alignment across reporting solutions.
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and data definitions to create consistency across engineering/product reporting.
- Provide ad-hoc and deep-dive analysis to support product planning, governance, and engineering performance reviews.
Requirements:
- A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably within software engineering, product, or SDLC environments.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with various data sources (e.g. Jira, Databases, Excel files, SharePoint, Git, CI/CD, Test management, release data).
- Advanced skills in Power BI for building interactive dashboards and reports.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn large datasets into insights, extract meaningful insights, and identify patterns and trends.
- Familiarity of SDLC or Agile practices, including common engineering/product metrics (e.g. epic delivery, velocity, quality trends).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to collaborate with both technical and business teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with Python, R, or other statistical tools for advanced analytics is an asset.
