Team missionThe Analytics department's mission is to enable the organisation to take action based on data. We work on a variety of problems and datasets as members of cross-functional mission teams. We take ownership of the entire analytics funnel, from exploration through recommendations to impact measurement and take pride in the insights we generate.
In this analytics role, you will be a key partner to the product teams that build the foundational, cross-cutting components of our marketplace. You will tackle complex and ambiguous questions, helping to quantify the impact of new features and build the business case for strategic initiatives. A major part of your role will be to guide the product development lifecycle through rigorous experimentation, from opportunity sizing and hypothesis generation to impact analysis and the delivery of recommendations. You will play a crucial part in providing the insights needed to prioritize opportunities, evaluate end-to-end impact, and create a more cohesive and optimal experience for our customers and suppliers worldwide.
Your mission- Develop quantitative analysis to drive product and marketing decisions.
- In collaboration with stakeholders identify opportunities and dependencies.
- Collaborate with Products and Engineering leads to develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end product experience.
- Design and implement data models, metrics and visualizations to guide the team’s strategy and success.
- Support the technical teams in tracking and producing more insightful data.
- Contribute to the learning and experimentation culture of the company by promoting hypothesis-driven development and evaluation.
- Answer the big questions to push our knowledge of our customers further.
- Contribute to the strategic thinking of the team by being a thought partner to the Product Managers.
- 5+ years of relevant experience interpreting data in an analytics or data science role
- Excellent stakeholder management & communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
- Strong experience designing and analyzing product experiments
- Strong statistical background and proficiency with advanced statistical methods (e.g. difference-in-differences, causal inference, or quasi-experimentation)
- Ability to understand user behavior and meaning behind the numbers, and translate them into actionable insights
- Systems-oriented thinking, ability to connect the dots between multiple parts of the business in order to understand overall customer experience.
- Practical, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on driving customer and business impact.
- Desire to work in an international environment, with minimal direction in ambiguous situations and with highly engaged individuals
- Broad experience as a generalist across multiple analytics domains (eg. product and marketing etc).
- Experience processing event tracking data at scale.
- Familiarity with machine learning evaluation or model-driven personalisation is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Looker, Jupyter Notebooks)
- Experience with attribution and financial modelling.
- Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic).
