THE ROLE (parental leave cover)
Reporting to the Analytics Manager, you’ll leverage data, AI, and experimentation to shape product and platform decisions. You will design and run analyses to guide priorities, inform the development of AI-driven features, optimise user experiences across our platform, and measure the impact of initiatives on Product and Engineering. 
Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining scalable reporting and dashboards, running A/B and multivariate tests, performing advanced ad-hoc analyses, and defining data instrumentation and tagging requirements to ensure robust data capture for new features and services. You will also conduct inference analyses to uncover causal relationships and actionable insights, helping to shape the strategic direction of products and data initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Drive strategic insights through advanced data analysis (causal inference, forecasting, cost-benefit, impact analysis) to inform product, pricing, and growth decisions.
  • Apply predictive and prescriptive analytics (ML/AI models for demand forecasting, churn, recommendations) to translate data into business strategy.
  • Analyze customer journeys and e-commerce economics, optimizing funnel performance, promotions, and margin trade-offs to maximize profitability and growth.
  • Design, recommend, and evaluate experiments (A/B and multivariate tests) with statistical rigor to guide product and platform development.
  • Develop scalable reporting and dashboards in SQL and Looker, automating insights that reflect business processes and data flows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on end-to-end analyses — from data gathering to delivering actionable insights, solutions, and presentations.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity, maintaining high standards across reporting and analytical deliverables.
  • Provide mentorship and thought leadership, setting best practices in analytics, experimentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Tell the story behind the data, synthesizing insights into clear, actionable narratives that influence roadmaps and leadership decisions.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, with a strong e-commerce orientation (mandatory).
  • Skilled in SQL, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) to transform data into actionable insights.
  • Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation, and program evaluation, with experience applying data to solve real-world business problems.
  • An excellent communicator and strategic thinker, able to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Economics) preferred.
