The Role
Rapid7 seeks a highly motivated and inquisitive aspiring Senior Product Data Analyst to join our Product Operations team. About the Team
The Product Ops team is responsible for providing Product and Engineering with the right tools, processes, data insights and cross functional alignment to drive efficient and scalable execution. They are a force multiplier that enables the teams to work smarter and make faster decisions. The Product Analytics function supports analytical tooling and processes, quality data models, and actionable metrics to empower Rapid7 Moose to make data-driven decisions and measure customer outcomes.
About the Role
As a Sr. Product Data Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to serve as a strategic partner to Product, Engineering and Operations teams, driving data-informed decisions and helping shape operational excellence across our product lifecycle
Specifically, your focus will be to:
  • Lead strategic cross-functional analytics projects end to end, from requirements definition, to data modeling, to visualization
  • Translating business questions into success metrics to deliver data-driven insights using Jira, Snowflake, Tableau, Salesforce and Gainsight.
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design and deliver action-oriented dashboards to support strategic company initiatives
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and other reporting mechanisms to monitor key product and operational metrics, ensuring teams have the visibility they need to move quickly
  • Contribute to data quality and governance efforts by partnering with the data team on broader data quality and governance initiatives to ensure consistent and reliable data sources across systems
  • Drive engagement with Rapid7 analytics community by sharing best practices, community resources, and creating engaging enablement materials

The skills and qualities you'll bring include:
Role-Specific Skills
  • Working knowledge of SQL and JQL
  • Experience with relational databases and business intelligence tooling - Tableau preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a data-focused role is preferred
  • Experience working with SaaS technologies like Snowflake, Tableau, Workato etc
  • BS in Analytics, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science or another quantitative field or equivalent experience
