Job Description

In July 2024, Delivery Hero SE merged three of its market-leading food delivery businesses, foodora and Yemeksepeti in Europe, and foodpanda in Asia. All three businesses now make up the second-largest organization within the Delivery Hero Group, and leading food and QCommerce delivery in 18 markets in both regions.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will leverage your expertise to directly impact the growth of our 18 markets by delivering actionable insights and advanced analytics solutions. In this role, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, mentor junior analysts, and shape the analytics function within one of our functional analytics teams. This is a high-visibility position that plays a pivotal role in data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced Data Modeling & Analysis: Lead the development of complex SQL models to transform large datasets into actionable insights, using tools like BigQuery and dbt.

• Strategic Reporting & Visualization: Design and build compelling, user-friendly dashboards (e.g., Looker, Tableau) that facilitate decision-making for business stakeholders. Define KPI frameworks and ensure metrics align with business objectives.

• Exploratory and Strategic Analysis: Drive the design and analysis of business problems through data with statistical rigor to inform operational decisions.

• Mentorship & Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, enhancing their technical skills and fostering a collaborative team environment.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, recommend analytics solutions, and present insights effectively.

• Data Quality & Governance: Partner with data engineers and cross-functional teams to improve data integrity, governance, and consistency across markets and data sources.
  

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics with a strong focus on SQL, data modeling, and data visualization.n

• 3+ years of experience with Commercial, Marketing or Logistics datasets and a solid understanding of the business processes driving these functions

• Proficiency with advanced SQL (preferably with BigQuery or similar DWH) and experience in Looker or Tableau. Familiarity with dbt is a plus.

• Solid background in statistical analysis, including A/B testing and data modeling.

• Experience leading or mentoring other analysts, with an ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.

• Strong business acumen with excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently on complex projects and deliver high-impact results in a fast-paced environment.
