Position: Senior Data Analyst
Job Location: 702 SW 8th St., Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Analyzes and interprets information for one or more initiative work streams to improve business efficiency by using various analytical methodologies; developing creative solutions within business areas that reduce cost and/or meet business goals; using judgment to assign what activities must be done; and ensuring data accuracy. Develops and directs one or more work streams of a cross-functional project to achieve desired results by ensuring understanding of scope of work; organizing timelines and deliverables; facilitating meetings involving project teams to analyze, plan, and implement project initiatives; taking corrective action; and reporting results and deliverables to supervisors and stakeholders. Collaborates cross-functionally on assignments with internal and external stakeholders to understand the results of data analyses and research by communicating results and findings. Develops tools that support decision making and business cases by summarizing needed information; determining what information must be reported; ensuring customer needs are met; and analyzing an initiative's impact to the business. Assumes duties of Project Manager III, Innovation in the absence of the Project Manager III, Innovation by attending meetings; working directly with the project team members on specific projects and analyses; performing analyses; providing directional advice and guidance related to defined logistical issues; and determining which issues should be elevated to a higher priority. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in analytics or a related field.
Skills required: Must have experience with: Developing automation scripts which involves extracting data from multiple Blue Yonder Tables, modifying, and updating the Blue Yonder REST APIs based on the modifications; Developing detailed documentation highlighting the different APIs that were used in the automation process; Designing and developing data visualization dashboard using Tableau Software by sourcing data from multiple Blue Yonder tables; Leveraging dimensional modeling, data architecture and star schema best practices to develop an improved data environment, focusing flexibility, scalability, and ease of use; Working with Big Query, including table design, carrying out data migration from tables in SQL Server to Big Query, creating reporting services on top of it. Recommend big data solutions, methodologies, strategies, and architectural improvement plans for data migration to Big Query; Performing data integration involving analysis of both structured and unstructured data from different applications within the same enterprise; Partnering with cross-functional teams to identify key data elements that will be monitored on an on-going basis to ensure high level of data quality; Building exception reporting (using outlier detection or other analytical techniques) and connected processes; Defining a data strategy roadmap that includes the exploration, collection, analysis of data focusing on the continual improvement of data quality and quantity; Exploring new KPI measures and predictive analyses to present information to improve the overall transportation optimization process; Utilizing (SQL) to manipulate large data sets and present information in a format that drives adoption of new solutions within the organization; Understanding and maintaining master data management policy and recommend changes to management as necessary; Presenting data insights to leadership, including Senior Directors, Directors at month-end to evaluate savings and to make strategic data driven decisions.
