ROLE SCOPE

This role will be responsible for sustainability data collection, analysis, and reporting, as well as maintaining, enhancing and ensuring the data quality in our corporate emissions accounting software platform. Working in partnership with our ESG and Sustainability teams, the Senior Data analyst’s daily duties will include data loading, data review, data input and regular communication and follow-up with other corporate functions (Real Estate, Accounts Payable/Receivable, HR, Procurement, etc.) to gather, collate and prepare reporting on quantitative metrics for our public ESG submissions and regulatory requirements.

The role will also be responsible for liaising with the “S” and “G” teams to coordinate best in class data reporting, in alignment with regulatory requirements, including CSRD, SEC, etc. The role will also organize and manage incoming ESG requests and ensuring collaboration between the needed SMEs and CSMs to respond to the customer/investor request. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage emissions data, including understanding the reporting requirements, communicating out to the field, collecting data, analyzing in the emissions software platform, and reporting out
  • Liaison with E, S and G leads and teams
  • Partner with the S team on data management
  • Partner with the G team on data management
  • Lead ESG response triage
  • Contribute to data requests, including the creation of the annual sustainability/Impact Report

Performance indicators: are defined, discussed and agreed during the regular meetings that take place between the employee and direct manager for setting performance goals & objectives, respectively for assessing/ reviewing individual performance.

Performance assessment/ evaluation is done considering the level of achievement of these objectives by the employee. Specific information regarding the annual performance review process will be sent through internal communications made at company level.

Possible professional developments: promotion will be made as per the guidelines established by internal regulations and policies of the company, on the position equivalent to the next hierarchical level.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, advanced preferred, in scientific or business disciplines, focus on sustainability/DEI a plus
  • 2-4 years of experience in data management or analytics
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Experience

  • Previous experience writing SQL queries to identify data trends and data gaps
  • Previous experience with one (or more) data visualization tools
  • Previous experience gathering, sorting, and analyzing Scope 1, 2 & 3 CO2 emissions data

  • Demonstrated aptitude for gathering, organizing, assessing, and summarizing large amounts of data collected in various formats (spreadsheets, text files, PDF’s, and other documents)
  • Working knowledge of data profiling and data cleansing approaches and tools
  • Understanding of business operations and ability to improve processes
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of ESG frameworks, rankings and ratings (e.g. Carbon Disclosure Protocol [CDP], Taskforce on Climate-related Disclosures [TCFD], etc.) and/or willingness to learn about these frameworks in deep detail
