About this position:

As a Senior Data Analyst at Later, you will be responsible for providing in-depth analysis and insights regarding use of the Mavrck Platform (now Later Influence™) as well as Later Social and Later Link in Bio.  The Senior Data Analyst is a strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills. The Senior Data Analyst engages cross functionally across all business units and is a trusted resource who has their finger on the pulse of the business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Interacting with various stakeholders and the data engineering team to gather requirements and determine ideal data extraction plans from the data sources and data warehouses
  • Partnering with the marketing and product teams on regularly produce reports and analysis of influencer marketing benchmarks and platform performance
  • Creating automated reports to measure ROI and the impact of various initiatives and campaigns
  • Maintaining and updating existing reporting schemas that allow teams to perform independent data analysis
  • Own and manage the internal data request process where any internal team member can request data access and analysis that is not available in the Mavrck platform
  • Building segmentation models to identify top performing creators and those with similar attributes
  • Assisting backend developers with identifying data issues in the data architecture and resolving them
  • Creating dashboards that succinctly identify changes in business KPIs that can be used intuitively by management
  • Supervising and mentoring 1-3 junior data analysts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Data Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology and Management, Computer Science/Engineering, or Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a data analyst, business analyst, marketing analyst or closely-related position.

Qualifying experience, which may have been gained concurrently, must include:

  • 4 years of experience analyzing data metrics and developing and implementing predictive models to provide business insight and make better informed marketing and financial decisions.
  • 4 years of experience with SQL queries.
  • 4 years of experience utilizing BI tools including either Mode, Tableau, or Looker.
  • 1 year of experience with JIRA 

Candidates for consideration must have –

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of statistical methods
  • Ability to effectively synthesize large amounts of data/information into key takeaways
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders

This is a fully remote position within the U.S. reporting to the Boston, MA headquarters. This position may require up to 5% travel per year (i.e. 1-2 times per year for short duration) nationally to the company’s headquarters in Boston, MA and internationally to its office in Vancouver, BC, Canada for internal planning meetings.

We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.

Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.

To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted. 

Additionally, all permanent team members are granted stock options and are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.

Salary:  $144,040 per year
