What you’ll be doing
- Analyse training, safety and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and actionable insights.
- Collect, validate and maintain data from multiple sources to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
- Develop and enhance dashboards, reports and visualisations that support senior decision-making and operational readiness.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, standardisation and better reporting processes.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into meaningful analytical outputs.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on analytics tools, reporting best practice and data-driven decision making.
- Mentor colleagues and promote high standards of analytical quality, consistency and continuous improvement.
- Present findings clearly through reports, presentations and briefings while ensuring data security, confidentiality and compliance.
What we’re looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Appropriate Qualification in a data-related subject (such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Business Analytics) or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in a Senior Data Analyst, Business Intelligence or data-focused analytical role within a complex organisation.
- Strong skills in collecting, cleansing, validating, analysing and interpreting data from multiple sources.
- Advanced experience creating dashboards, reports and visualisations using Power BI and Excel.
- Good understanding of data modelling, databases, data architecture and data quality management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, explain performance and provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Knowledge of AI-enabled analytics, data pipelines and the data requirements needed to support AI solutions.
- Experience mentoring colleagues and confidently communicating technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
