Primary Responsibilities:
- Participate in efforts to develop and execute operational and strategic client plans that addresses the client's supply chain needs
- Partner with analytics principals to create solutions that effectively support all known requirements and effectively answer the relevant questions about performance and opportunities for optimization
- Support prioritization efforts with supply chain operations teams to streamline operational processes through better utilization of core supply chain systems and development of supplemental analytics
- Act as a subject matter expert in the best practices of health system supply chain initiatives and analytics to support those initiatives
- Ensure effective documentation processes throughout all the entire analytical lifecycle
- Collaborate with team members to create content onboarding and rollout strategies that promote the adoption and utilization of new analytical tools, products, or capabilities
- Partner with analytical platform teams, data engineering, and data governance to support analytical best-practices and common standards
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Key Activities:
- Participate in the creation and optimization of supply chain analytics to support data-driven decision making across the organization
- Promote the evolution of supply chain analytics to increase insight generation, root-cause identification, and best-practice adoption
- Evaluate opportunities to adopt sophisticated analytical models that enable insights and clear actionability to support organizational goals
- Create processes and accountability for the continuous rationalization of the supply analytics portfolio
- Disseminate best practices tailored to all levels of decision making (i.e. from real-time tactical decision making to long-term clinical strategy)
- Collaborate in the effort to create analytics that supports effective decision making across all health system sites of care (e.g. inpatient, outpatient, ED, physician practice, etc.) related to supply utilization, cost, and optimization
- Partner with analytical platform teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in aggregation and alignment of foundational data assets needed to power analytics
- Partner with other domain teams to infuse supply data into clinical, quality, and patient outcome insights and the decision-making process for operational, financial, growth, and other focus areas
- Apply structured, hypothesis-driven problem solving to translate business questions into analytical approaches and clear insights
- Analyze complex, multi-source healthcare data to identify trends, drivers, and opportunities for improvement across cost, quality, and growth
- Synthesize findings into clear, decision-ready recommendations with a solid "so what" and quantified business impact
- Partner with stakeholders in a matrixed COE environment to shape problem statements, align on priorities, and drive adoption of insights
- Communicate insights through compelling storytelling tailored to executive and operational audiences
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for optimization
- Support end-to-end analytical delivery, including data exploration, feature engineering, model development (as applicable), and results interpretation
- Collaborate with data engineering and data platform teams to ensure data availability, quality, and usability for analytics use cases
- Contribute to development of reusable analytical assets, frameworks, and best practices that scale impact across the COE
- Ensure analytical outputs are accurate, reliable, and aligned to business context, with clear assumptions and limitations
- Continuously improve analytic approaches, streamline processes, and reduce low-value or redundant work
- Support the development of data-driven decision making by educating stakeholders and promoting evidence-based practices
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of healthcare experience with knowledge and background in health system analytics and / or 5+ years of experience in clinically focused consulting engagements or large internal healthcare projects/programs for health care delivery systems
- 5+ years of experience with operational processes and clinical decision making in the various providers within a health care delivery system (e.g., hospitals, medical groups, post-acute care organizations, physician practices, ambulatory surgical centers, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience managing analytics projects or initiatives with minimal guidance
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, or data-driven problem solving
- Experience working with large, complex datasets including data extraction, transformation, and analysis (SQL, Python, or similar tools)
- Experience translating data into insights and recommendations for business or operational stakeholders
- Experience communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working in a cross-functional, matrixed environment
- Proven solid analytical thinking with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and identify key drivers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Qlikview, Power BI and/or Tableau
- Experience with healthcare systems and supply chain
- Experience understanding and writing SQL
- Experience with 3rd parts supply organizations and software
- Experience and credibility interacting with all levels of leadership
- Experience working in Agile environments, employing SCRUM, Lean, and Kanban methodologies
- Subject matter expertise in health system clinical operations, finance, statistical analysis
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of recommendations
- Proven solid storytelling and presentation skills, particularly for executive audiences
- Proven desire to continuously learn, challenge assumptions, and improve how analytics drives business outcomes
