We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with a strong technical foundation in SQL, business intelligence, data transformation/ETL, and experience partnering with clients to understand and execute on their reporting and data needs. This role will work closely with clients in the GeriMed space, gathering requirements, defining scope, and collaborating with internal engineering teams to deliver high‑quality data solutions.
The ideal candidate is both highly technical and highly consultative — someone who can translate business needs into actionable data pipelines, dashboards, and insights.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient & Stakeholder Engagement- Partner directly with clients to understand data needs related to reporting, analytics, and ETL processes.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal engineers and technical teams to scope and deliver complex data solutions.
- Identify and apply new tools, processes, and methodologies to interpret data using statistical techniques.
- Conduct ad‑hoc and recurring analyses to support business decision‑making.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns within large and complex data sets.
- Build and maintain tools for acquiring data from primary and secondary sources.
- Support and enhance ETL frameworks and data transformation processes.
- Troubleshoot data quality issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop visually engaging and insightful dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using leading BI tools.
- Optimize reporting processes for consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Prioritize business and information needs based on impact.
- Identify, define, and quantify opportunities for process improvement within data workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Information Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of data analysis experience, including data management, transformation, and visualization.
- Expert‑level SQL skills with experience working in relational database environments.
- Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, SAP Crystal Reports, or similar.
- Hands‑on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Experience working with ETL frameworks and analyzing large datasets.
- Programming experience with any of the following: Python, Java, .NET, XML, JavaScript.
- Experience using statistical tools such as Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Must be comfortable working in Overland Park, KS
- Experience working with healthcare data (clinical, financial, operational).
- Exposure to AWS, Git, and JIRA.
- Experience with modern big‑data languages/frameworks such as Hive, Spark, Scala, Kafka, Ruby, C++, Perl, etc.
- Experience with SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) and advanced Power BI solutions.
