The Role

Dentalcorp is seeking a skilled detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst (Contractor) to support a key strategic initiative: migrating our data infrastructure from SQL Server to Snowflake. You'll work closely with our Analytics and Marketing teams to convert Legacy SQL code, migrate dashboards, and support new dashboard development. This project should take approximately 1 year to complete.

This role requires strong SQL skills, experience with Snowflake (or the ability to quickly ramp up), and a solid background in dashboard development using tools like Tableau or Qlik. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work and wants to contribute to a high-impact transformation project.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist in the migration of databases and queries from SQL Server to Snowflake, including translating SQL code to Snowflake SQL (SnowSQL).

  • Migrate and refactor existing dashboards and data pipelines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuity and integrity of migrated data and reports.

  • Support new dashboard development and ad hoc analysis for ongoing business needs.

  • Establish and promote best practices for data modeling, reporting, and visualization.

  • Leverage advanced analytics by designing and conducting in-depth analyses to support data-driven decisions and drive organizational success.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and optimize operational infrastructure to support rapid growth.

  • Foster a high-performance culture by promoting accountability and ensuring focus on achieving key marketing and financial objectives and KPIs.

What we’re looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on SQL development and dashboarding.

  • Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL and/or SnowSQL) and experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.

  • Strong experience with dashboarding tools like Tableau or Qlik; Tableau certification is a plus.

  • Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Exceptional analytical skills paired with robust business acumen.

  • Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or graduate degree is a plus, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
