JOB TITLE: Senior Data Analyst
LOCATION: 9700 Health Care Lane, Minnetonka, MN 55343 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)
DUTIES: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to Accounting, Treasury, Sales, and other business partners. Gather business and technical requirements for new reporting needs and enhancements. Build SQL/SSIS/SSRS/Power BI based processes and queries aligned with defined requirements. Test and validate reporting processes to ensure accuracy, performance, and alignment with business logic. Automate report generation and delivery using tools such as SQL, Power BI, SSIS or SSRS to various stakeholder groups to ensure timely and consistent insights and to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Implement job scheduling for data imports from files and other databases. Identify and implement improvements in standard reporting processes and capabilities, including upgrades to current software versions and migration to a virtual database. Identify and implement opportunities for improved controls and audits around commissions payments. Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency across data and reports. Automate manual and time-consuming processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead. Calculate and pay non-standard commissions not currently supported by ICM application. Reconcile and adjust quarterly 1099 files before submission to Tax. Perform regular database maintenance, including performance tuning, indexing, and archiving to ensure optimal reporting efficiency. Address and resolve database vulnerabilities in collaboration with IT and security teams to ensure compliance and data protection. Maintain documentation for reporting processes, data definitions, and business rules to ensure transparency and continuity. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a Data Analyst- related occupation. Position requires five (5) years of experience in the following:
* Write efficient queries to extract and transform data for reporting, Advanced SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions);
* Excel, advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and VBA;
* SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), design paginated reports, parameterized and drill-down reports, subscriptions and report automation;
* Power BI integration with SQL Server to automate reports;
* Schedule and maintain recurring reports using Visual Studio;
* SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL workflows;
* Import/export data using BCP, BULK INSERT, and linked servers;
* Work with flat files, Excel, and APIs;
* Maintain clear documentation for report logic, data sources, and business definitions;
* Query optimization and execution plans;
* Index tuning and statistics management; and
* Identify and resolve deadlocks and blocking.
RATE OF PAY: $142,230 - $177,408 per year
