Why do we need you? Well, we are looking for a Senior Customer Marketing Manager who excels at building relationships, understands the value of customer stories, and leverages those insights to drive adoption in a PLG-focused business. You will report to the Senior Manager, Product Marketing.

A day in the life of a Senior Customer Marketing Manager at Calendly

As a Senior Customer Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in fueling this strategy by creating and executing programs that amplify customer success stories, foster deeper relationships with customers, and showcase the peer-validated value Calendly provides to other customers. You will be an essential part of a fast-paced Product Marketing team that’s committed to shaping the future of meetings. 

On a typical day, you will be working on: 

  • Building, managing, and evolving customer marketing programs that help drive product adoption, customer expansion and marketing metrics.
  • Developing targeted customer stories, case studies, and testimonials to promote Calendly’s value and influence retention/expansion.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams—Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Marketing—to craft compelling content and customer campaigns.
  • Engaging with customers to identify advocates, understand their use cases and workflows, and map opportunities for deeper engagement.
  • Analyzing customer engagement data and translating those insights into actionable marketing strategies that drive conversions.
  • Helping with customer marketing initiatives, like customer-focused webinars, speaking opportunities, videos, and case studies.

What do we need from you?

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a focus on customer marketing or customer advocacy.
  • Understanding of both PLG strategies and SaaS sales, particularly in a B2B environment.
  • Ability to onboard and understand the Calendly product, so you can speak to features and workflows that are relevant to customers. 
  • Proven experience building customer relationships, managing customer speakers within webinars and events, and engaging with customers to write and create impactful marketing content.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to support customer growth and expansion opportunities.
  • Excellent storytelling (particularly writing solid first drafts of stories), communication, and presentation skills, with an eye for identifying compelling customer success stories.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on measuring the effectiveness of campaigns and understanding their impact on customer growth and marketing metrics.
  • Creative and innovative approach to driving engagement and solving challenges in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

The ranges listed below are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.

Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.

Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Quarterly Corporate Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.

Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows:

  • Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY
  • Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
  • Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2
