Atlas Advisors is seeking a Senior Current Events / All-Source Intel Analyst to provide intelligence analysis support for U.S. Army Europe and Africa military intelligence operations.


The analyst will provide all-source analysis expertise regarding specific countries within USAREUR-AF’s Area of Responsibility / Area of Interest (AOR/AOI). The position requires demonstrated current events or current intelligence experience focused on Europe and Africa, with the ability to monitor, assess, and brief developments affecting U.S. Army operations, force protection, contingency planning, and senior leader decision-making.


This is a SOFA-supported overseas position in Vicenza, Italy or Wiesbaden, Germany. Eligible family members may accompany the employee.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide all-source analysis expertise regarding specific countries within USAREUR-AF’s AOR/AOI.

  • Research, analyze, and produce near- and long-term all-source assessments on political, military, economic, social, criminal, terrorism/counterterrorism, and multi-discipline counterintelligence issues.

  • Prepare timely written and oral assessments using classified theater and national-level resources and databases.

  • Prepare specialized political, military, human environment, counterintelligence/foreign intelligence, and terrorism/counterterrorism threat assessments and briefings.

  • Interpret complex political and economic developments and provide concise briefings on sensitive USAREUR-AF issues to senior leaders.

  • Prepare and brief current intelligence updates; monitor reporting for threat items of interest for weekly or daily Current Intelligence Updates.

  • Perform indications and warning analysis; analyze, review, and integrate intelligence data from a variety of sources.

  • Provide threat assessments and biographic information in support of senior staff officer visits or trips.

  • Research and analyze operational, strategic deployment, logistics, organizational structure, modernization, exercise/training, and C4ISR-related issues.

  • Develop plans, concepts, and analytical products supporting operational and strategic planning efforts.

  • Provide analysis and programmatic support for Command plans, programs, policies, and procedures supporting operational and strategic missions.

  • Support deliberate and crisis analysis activities and contribute to operational force deployment planning.

  • Provide technical input to joint operations planning and execution during deliberate and crisis planning stages.

  • Identify theater support requirements and coordinate with Combatant Commands (COCOMs), Services, and Agencies regarding resource allocation.

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of exercises, training events, and operational activities in support of mission requirements.

  • Serve as liaison between Commands and other COCOMs and represent the command at planning conferences and operational events.

  • Support TDY travel as required by mission/customer requirements.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Must be eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) access as required.

  • Master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience supporting intelligence analysis/operations; OR bachelor’s degree with 13 years of related experience supporting intelligence analysis/operations; OR associate degree with 16 years of related experience supporting intelligence analysis/operations; OR high school diploma/equivalent with 22 years of related experience supporting intelligence analysis/operations.

  • Demonstrated current events or current intelligence analysis experience focused on the USAREUR-AF AOR/AOI, including Europe and Africa.

  • Experience analyzing political, military, terrorism/counterterrorism, force protection, foreign intelligence, counterintelligence, NATO, Russia/Eurasia, Balkans/Mediterranean, Africa, and/or transnational threat developments affecting U.S. Army operations.

  • Experience preparing written intelligence assessments, current intelligence updates, technical reports, information papers, and senior-leader briefings.

  • Experience conducting classified research using theater-level, national-level, and Intelligence Community databases.

  • Ability to perform indications and warning analysis and brief senior military or Government leaders clearly and concisely.

  • Experience supporting operational and strategic planning efforts, deliberate and crisis analysis, operational force deployment planning, and joint operations planning and execution activities.

  • Experience coordinating with Combatant Commands (COCOMs), Services, and Agencies in support of operational requirements and resource allocation.

  • Experience supporting exercises, training activities, operational planning events, or mission coordination activities.

  • Experience using Analyst Notebook, Maven Smart System (Palantir), FADE/MIST, Bohdi, CHROME, DCGS-A, AIDP, ICI, Google Earth, common Intelligence Community databases/websites, or comparable intelligence systems.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Italy or German SOFA / Technical Representative status.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven understanding of and experience with counterterrorism and/or counterintelligence all-source analysis in the African and European Theater.
  • Experience with link analysis, network diagrams, threat network development, POI profiles, or biographic intelligence.
  • Regional experience in NATO, Russia, Baltics, Eurasia, Aegean, Balkans, Mediterranean, or Africa.
  • Prior experience supporting USAREUR-AF, SETAF-AF, USEUCOM, USAFRICOM, NATO, Army G2, ACE, Watch, Operations Center, or current intelligence operations.

Overseas Assignment and Family Accompaniment

This is a SOFA-supported overseas assignment in Vicenza, Italy or Wiesbaden, Germany. Eligible family members may accompany the employee.


This position may be eligible for overseas logistical support and allowances, including:

  • Family-accompanied overseas assignment in Vicenza, Italy or Wiesbaden, Germany.

Work Environment
  • Full-time, on-site position in either Vicenza, Italy or Wiesbaden, Germany.

  • Must be able to support time-sensitive intelligence requirements, senior-leader briefings, and mission-driven priorities.

  • May include TDY travel based on operational or customer requirements.

  • May require support outside normal duty hours based on mission requirements.
