Summary:Tuesday-Friday 11:30a-10pm - Requirements: RTL, Certification & 6 years imaging experience

Additional Information:

A Senior CT Technologist is an Expert Technologist with the ability to perform quality CT exams in a safe and timely manner, while providing excellent patient care. May serve as a Preceptor to other staff members. May act as Lead when Lead CT Technologist is out.

Required Education:Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma

Recommended Education:Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university

Required Work Experience:Direct - 6 years of experience

Recommended Work Experience:Direct - Pediatric

Required Certifications:1 of the following certifications is required -  , Radiologic Technologist License - Arkansas Department of Health

Recommended Certifications:ARRT - Computed Tomography (CT) - American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT), Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board

Description

1. Verifies exams as ordered by physician.
2. Is an expert, and may serve as a Preceptor to perform correct scan protocols in an effort to decrease radiation exposure to patients.
3. Is an expert in, and may serve as a Preceptor in the adherence to all radiation safety recommendations, including patient shielding. ALARA.
4. Is an expert, and may serve as a Preceptor in the proper administration of IV and oral contrast.
5. May serve as a Preceptor in the explanation of exams/procedures to patients and families.
6. Ensures that work area is properly maintained.
7. Ensures that work area is properly maintained.
8. Is an expert, and may serve as a Preceptor in utilization of current or new and evolving technologies in CT.
9. Maintains equipment and requests service as needed.
10. Participates in performance improvement activities. Complies with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

  

Skills Required

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college program, technical school, or nursing diploma
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • Direct imaging experience: 6 years
  • Pediatric imaging experience
  • Radiologic Technologist License - Arkansas Department of Health
  • ARRT - Computed Tomography (CT) certification
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
  • Flu vaccine (required by employer)
  • Cannot be a current user of medical marijuana (safety sensitive)
  • Ability to work assigned shift (Tuesday–Friday, 11:30 AM–10:00 PM)
