What You’ll Be Doing
Credit Processing Services provides compliance and credit fulfillment support to Commercial Banking and Capital Markets. As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst you will be accountable for providing support for credit/trading-related products for a portfolio of clients within the Specialized Credit Products Group in Capital Markets. You will be responsible for all aspects of administration and monitoring of established credit and trading facilities and maintain independent responsibility for the input, monitoring and escalation of risk elements on credit portfolios with minimal supervision. Input of credits authorized by Risk Management. Act as a point of contact providing functional guidance to junior team members, lead implementation of process improvement initiatives by working with colleagues/management to improve the quality of client service delivered to clients, while seeking opportunities to streamline processes.

How You’ll Succeed
Service Delivery Reliability - Liaise and interact with Clients and Business Partners. Respond to inquiries and requests providing professional high quality of customer service for the assigned portfolio. Monitor ongoing risks associated with accounts through monitoring systems and EXCEL reports for all credit facilities to perform detailed analysis of financial statements and related documents to ensure accuracy of data.
Compliance and Production Support - Review loan documentation/trading documentation (eg. ISDA agreements) and/or Financial Statements to ensure compliance with authorized credit. Ensure compliance to internal controls and escalate to Senior Business Partners and/or Risk Management as appropriate to maintain integrity of CIBC's position and timely resolution of issues.
Financial Analysis - Monitor ongoing risks associated with accounts through systems and reports for all credit/trading facilities to process transactions, margins and perform detailed analysis of financial statements and related documents to ensure accuracy of data. Preparing and updating spreadsheets as per agreement requirements and preparing breach reports for Business Partners and Risk Management review (strong excel/spreadsheet skills required).
Relationship Management - Manage relationships with CIBC Business Partners on all credit-related activities to ensure accounts operate within terms and conditions of the authorized credit.
Organizational Skills - Respond to questions and provide guidance. Complete quality checks for work completed to ensure accuracy. Monitor workflow to ensure priority is given to unresolved matters that cause backlog or delays in process flow.
Detail Oriented - Demonstrates accurate and efficient processing of all incoming work by verifying, processing and balancing as required utilizing various systems and equipment within the department including Processes items ensuring proper procedures and guidelines are followed and managing fluctuating volumes.
Results Oriented - Maintains adherence to all risk and governance standards by completing all required documentation thoroughly and ensuring that all processes and procedures are followed.

You have a degree/diploma in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
