The Credit Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing credit information on current and potential borrowers; determines the advisability of granting credit for diversified types of loans; assists loan officers in writing loan requests; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.
Essential Duties
- Proven ability to manage all essential duties of the City Bank Credit Analyst position.
- Prepare comprehensive loan memorandums detailing loan requests and credit quality for loan presentations and approval. Senior Credit Analysts are expected to underwrite credit requests of all sizes and complexity.
- Participate in the credit review process and insure that all underwriting, policy, and compliance procedures are followed.
- Efficiently Familiarize oneself with City Bank policy to effectively interpret, apply, and advise on policy.
- Maintain effective relationships with Senior Management and lending staff and assist Lenders on client calls/meetings.

- Mentor and train credit analysts as well as coordinate and oversee internal group training. Participate in the hiring process and development of the credit department.
- Identify and coordinate external training opportunities for credit department.
- Ensure that procedures and credit requests comply with City Bank’s loan policy.
- Participate in external training modules that consist of advanced credit analysis training a minimum of 2 times per year.
- Other job duties as required by the Regional Credit Managers.
