What's the Short Version?
The Sr Credit Analyst works closely with SanMar's customers and internal teams to evaluate customer credit profiles and take advantage of business building opportunities while managing SanMar's risk of financial loss. The Sr Credit Analyst processes and reviews new credit applications and customer credit files, as well as supporting escalated issues and complex accounts. They support the Analyst team by mentoring team members and sharing insight and suggestions aligned with the expectations of the team supervisor and credit managers.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Review credit applications by pulling credit reports, requesting trade references, and evaluating financial statements and other relevant information to make complex credit decisions with limited oversight that promote customer sales growth while managing risk within SanMar’s guidelines.
- Evaluate existing customer credit files requesting and evaluating financial statements, account history, competitor analysis, and additional options that may be required to facilitate increased credit terms such as personal guaranties and letters of credit.
- Communicate with SanMar’s customers to learn more about their business, request information, negotiate and provide options that may assist with achieving mutually successful results.
- Communicate with internal teams, sharing results of credit reviews, provide guidance as necessary to assist those teams in their efforts that are impacted by the credit review.
- Review Custom orders, determining deposits and terms for these orders, maintaining custom order record keeping in the custom order log.
- Monitor and provide reporting on specific customers and customer segments.
- Maintain customer account information in SanMar’s databases.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What Are We Looking For?
- 7-9 years of related credit or account receivable experience or a mix of education and experience.
- Experience working with credit portfolios within the B2B field is preferred
- Expertise in financial analysis, risk management and decision making, identifying solutions aligned with the objectives of the organization.
- Experienced in financial analysis as part of the credit evaluation process.
- High level of competency with computer and software applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills; to effectively reach goals of team, department and company
- Strong negotiating skills – ability to achieve positive results
- Ability to communicate effectively with diplomacy and tact

What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $32.56 - $43.27 (WA, NJ); $29.79 - $39.59 (MN, NV, TX, VA); $28.65 - $38.08 (AZ, ID, FL MT, OH) on an hourly basis, depending on experience.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?
Remote: Our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Periodic travel may be required. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and participating in virtual and in-person meetings. Frequent use of hands for keyboarding and standard office equipment is required. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be needed to attend meetings or collaborate in an office setting. The role requires the ability to perform close visual work on a computer for extended periods. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10–15 pounds.
