Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
- Lead the creative development and execution of branded video campaigns from concept through final delivery across Hearst's portfolio of iconic brands.
- Translate client objectives, audience insights, and business goals into compelling, platform-native video concepts and creative strategies.
- Develop original formats, recurring franchises, and scalable content ideas optimized for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
- Drive creative excellence throughout pre-production, production, and post-production by developing treatments, directing select shoots, reviewing edits, and providing clear creative guidance.
- Balance brand integration with editorial storytelling to create content that resonates with audiences while delivering measurable client outcomes.
- Leverage YouTube expertise—including channel strategy, titles, thumbnails, audience retention, watch time, and viewing behavior—to maximize content performance.
- Use audience insights and performance data to refine creative recommendations and continuously improve future content strategies.
- Partner closely with producers, strategists, editors, designers, analytics teams, sales partners, and clients while serving as a senior creative voice across projects.
Qualifications (What We're Looking For)
- 8+ years of experience creating, producing, or leading branded, editorial, social, or digital video content.
- Demonstrated success developing video content that drives audience growth, engagement, and measurable business results.
- Deep expertise in YouTube strategy, content optimization, audience development, and platform best practices.
- Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional storytelling, creative thinking, and high-quality branded or editorial video work.
- Experience leading creative projects across concept development, production, and post-production.
- Strong editorial judgment with expertise in story structure, pacing, visual storytelling, and post-production workflows.
- Ability to direct creative partners and influence cross-functional teams without formal people management responsibilities.
- Comfortable presenting creative concepts, strategy, and performance-driven recommendations to clients and executive stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator; familiarity with modern creator tools and AI-powered creative workflows is a plus.
- Collaborative, commercially minded, and energized by working in a fast-paced, highly creative environment.
- This role is based in New York City and follows a hybrid schedule with four days per week in the office.

The base salary range for this role is $149,000–$168,000. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
