The Senior Creative Director, Social & Content will report to the Director, Social Creative and work PST hours. This leader will oversee multiple Airbnb social workstreams while shaping a cohesive, culturally relevant content ecosystem that blends brand storytelling with social-first execution.
Airbnb is seeking a visionary creative leader who operates at the intersection of content, culture, and brand. This role is part of our internal, multidisciplinary Creative Team—partnering across marketing, product, comms, and external creators to develop ideas that travel across platforms and live beyond campaigns.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has built social-native content systems—not just campaigns—and understands how to create work that audiences choose to watch, follow, and share.
The Difference You Will MakeOur ideal candidate has led the development of highly engaging, platform-native content for global audiences—especially within YouTube and other video-first ecosystems—and understands how to build repeatable formats, series, and franchises that grow audiences over time.
They bring a strong point of view on how brand and content coexist, and know how to move fluidly between:
- Editorial and entertainment-driven storytelling
- Brand-building and business objectives
- Reactive, cultural moments and long-term content strategy
This person is deeply fluent in social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), but more importantly understands how audiences behave differently across them—and how to create for those behaviors, not just distribute to them.
They will partner closely with Brand, Marketing, and Insights teams to translate strategy into work that is both creatively ambitious and culturally resonant, with a track record of ideas that drive conversation, sharing, and earned attention.
