About Fluidstack

We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.

We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.

We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to help develop the infrastructure that will make AGI a reality — while helping build a Legal Department from the ground up. As Senior Counsel, Infrastructure at FluidStack, you will be a key member of our growing Legal team, responsible for structuring, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements critical to FluidStack's delivery of world-class AI infrastructure. Your work will span data center development and leasing, energy, and supply chain and procurement, among other areas. We are seeking a results-driven attorney capable of operating autonomously in a dynamic environment, partnering cross-functionally to drive transactions to completion, and serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to business leaders across the company. The opportunities to contribute and for professional growth are nearly limitless.

Basic Qualifications
  • Juris Doctorate degree or international equivalent

  • Active license to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction, with ability to meet admission requirements as needed

  • 8–12 years of sophisticated experience as a practicing attorney, with fluency in areas directly relevant to data center development, including leasing, energy, and supply chain and procurement

  • Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements with sophisticated counterparties, with a high degree of autonomy and a commercially pragmatic approach

  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous, high-stakes situations and to anticipate and address complex legal and business issues with a solutions-oriented mindset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to earn the trust of business partners as a go-to legal and business advisor

  • Strong ability to manage outside counsel across substantive disciplines with rigor and efficiency

Preferred Qualifications
  • Mix of law firm and in-house experience

  • In-house experience at a data center developer or cloud company

  • Private practice experience in real estate or energy

  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve legal work product and efficiency

Salary & Benefits
  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).

  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
