Senior Cost Accountant - MFG Exp Required

💵 Pay Range: $108,000 – $124,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

You’ll partner across manufacturing, purchasing, supply chain, and finance, helping to drive smarter decisions, tighter controls, and continuous improvement.

• Lead and apply cost accounting principles to support accurate and timely financial results.

• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to manage work order processing and ensure correct floor procedures.

• Develop the Annual Operating Plan and monthly forecasts for commodities and factory expenses.

• Perform variance analysis, reconcile accounts, and prepare journal entries during month-end close.

• Analyze COGS and inventory balances for accuracy and compliance.

• Manage and assess inventory reserves for excess and obsolescence.

• Collaborate with Continuous Improvement teams to track cost savings and margin improvement.

• Support internal and external audits and ad hoc analysis as needed.

• Provide clear reporting and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).

• 6+ years of progressive cost accounting experience, ideally in CPG or manufacturing.

• Hands-on experience working on the production floor with cross-functional teams.

• Advanced proficiency in Dynamics 365, SAP, or GP Dynamics required.

• Strong Excel and ERP skills, with experience in costing techniques, MRP systems, and inventory controls.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive. A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This position is based in our Norwood, MA manufacturing facility, following our hybrid work model. You’ll spend time both on-site with operations teams and collaborating with finance and leadership. Expect variety, collaboration, and a clear connection between your work and business success.
