We are seeking a Senior Corporate Paralegal to join our Global Legal team full-time.

This position is hybrid (working on-site approximately 1-3 days a week in Bloomington, IN).

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director and Corporate Intellectual Property Counsel, the Senior Corporate Paralegal’s responsibilities include the following:

· Support the day-to-day operations of the Global Legal team, with a focus on intellectual property (IP) operations, including by

developing, documenting, maintaining, and improving legal processes, workflows, policies, and operational frameworks.

· Administer core legal technology platforms (e.g., legal matter management and billing tools), including optimizing the tools to support utilization, integration, and adoption into daily legal operations, and improving quality, completeness, and integrity of records and data to support AI-readiness.

· Identify opportunities to leverage technology tools to improve efficiency, standardization, and knowledge management, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including suggesting opportunities to leverage available technology/AI tools to automate and optimize workflows, and driving adoption of and measuring compliance with implemented processes.

· Assist with identifying, tracking, and reporting on performance metrics and progress against team goals.

· Monitor and analyze legal budget and spend for trends, forecasts, and cost savings opportunities.

· Assist with managing relationships with outside counsel and vendors, including in evaluating vendor processes and recommending improvements or alternatives to optimize value and consistency.

· Contribute to knowledge management by helping document best practices, templates, and guidance materials.

· Support legal initiatives, including training, compliance activities, and strategic projects to help ensure leadership of the Global Legal team."

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience

· 5+ years of relevant experience in an in-house legal department or corporate law firm. IP-related experience is a plus.

· Experience supporting global or highly regulated organizations preferred. Medical technology or life sciences industry experience is a plus.

· Bachelor’s degree preferred; paralegal certificate or technical degree is a plus.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

· This role requires fluency in AI and data concepts, including the ability to critically evaluate AI outputs, improve workflows using approved tools, identify and mitigate bias or inaccuracies, and communicate AI-driven insights clearly and responsibly to peers and managers.

· This role requires proficiency with legal technology tools, as well as the ability to maintain a technology-forward mindset, to be comfortable navigating and configuring different technology platforms.

· Ability to stay intellectually curious and eager and open to continuously improve in a dynamic environment and to learn from different points of view.

· Have excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others, whether internal or external to the organization.

· Ability to work across teams and manage multiple priorities to accomplish multiple tasks in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Skills Required
