Are you a seasoned insurance or risk professional with a knack for analytics and a drive to make a global impact? Join Brown-Forman and take the lead in optimizing our insurance programs. This isn't just about managing policies; it's about proactively identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance, and delivering actionable insights that protect our global operations and assets.

This role is in the office Monday-Thursday, with remote work on Friday.

What You'll Do

  • Strategize and Execute Renewals: Collaborate closely with the Director of Insurance to develop comprehensive renewal strategies for insurance programs. You'll drive the preparation of all renewal analytics and submissions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company objectives.

  • Advanced Risk Quantification: Take ownership of preparing and reviewing critical Maximum Foreseeable Loss (MFL) and earthquake Probable Maximum Loss (PML) estimate calculations, providing robust data to inform our risk transfer strategies.

  • Global Compliance and Partnership: Ensure our global insurance programs consistently comply with local regulatory and tax requirements across our international footprint. You'll be a key liaison, working with our internal tax experts and international insurance brokers to navigate complex compliance landscapes.

  • Proactive Risk Identification: Play a pivotal role in identifying emerging loss exposures by monitoring changes in company operations, conducting site visits to offices, plants, and warehouses, and consulting directly with area management. Your insights will be crucial in analyzing and addressing potential risks.

  • Loss Prevention Leadership: Translate key policy warranties and loss prevention recommendations into actionable guidance for plant operations and engineering management. You'll regularly audit plant practices to ensure full compliance, helping to embed a strong risk culture throughout our global operations.

  • Claims Management Support: Oversee the compilation of all property insurance claim settlement activities, including both insured and self-insured claims, ensuring accurate records and facilitating efficient resolution processes.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the property insurance programs, developing and administering insurance analytics to provide deeper insights and optimize decision-making.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: Five years of progressive experience in insurance and/or risk management within a corporate risk management department, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Analytical Prowess: Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.

  • Systems Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (or Google equivalents). Knowledge of SAP and BW systems is a strong plus.

  • Problem-Solving & Creativity: A creative thinker with the ability to exercise sound, independent judgment in complex situations.

  • Adaptability: Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment.

What Makes You Unique

  • Professional insurance designations such as ARM (Associate in Risk Management) or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter).

  • Basic knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes and fire protection practices.
