We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will take ownership of key accounting processes, including month-end close activities, financial reporting, and balance sheet integrity. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards, while driving continuous improvements in financial reporting processes and controls. 

This role is based at Dentalcorp’s Toronto Support Centre, with an in-office presence from Monday to Thursday and remote work on Fridays.

The Impact You’ll Have 

 

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Finance, you will play a key role in supporting the integrity and efficiency of the Finance function. You will lead critical components of the month-end close process, deliver insightful financial analysis, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data to support informed, strategic decision-making across the organization. 

 

In This Role, You Will 

 

  • Lead the monthly corporate P&L review and deliver clear, actionable insights to senior leadership  

  • Oversee and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accruals across all departments  

  • Manage monthly expense allocations, ensuring appropriate classification and alignment with accounting standards  

  • Perform detailed variance analysis and review of expenses to ensure accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity  

  • Develop and present meaningful financial reports to support corporate functions and business partners  

  • Own account reconciliations and proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner  

  • Review capital expenditures for appropriate capitalization and prepare monthly asset cash flow reporting and quarterly PPE and intangibles continuity schedules  

  • Validate monthly budget uploads, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial forecasts  

  • Support year-end audit processes, including inventory counts and responding to auditor requests  

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data capture  

  • Strengthen and execute internal control processes to maintain compliance and safeguard financial operations  

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support ad hoc analysis during month-end and year-end cycles 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation or active enrollment is considered a plus 

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a corporate or fast-paced environment 

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven setting 

  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset 

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas (e.g., INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS), and financial data analysis techniques 

  • Experience working with large datasets to perform variance analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting 

  • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality 

  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on increasing responsibilities 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

The salary range for this position is $80,000 CAD to $92,000 CAD annually. Offers within this range are determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
