Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and coordination of corporate tax obligations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting, financial reporting, and U.S. GAAP, with meaningful experience supporting corporate tax filings and strategy.
We expect you to possess both excellent analytical skills and an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles to efficiently analyze financial reports and have the ability to take ownership of tasks assigned.
Essential Functions Performed by the Position
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS
- Support quarterly and year-end external and internal audits, including providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies in accordance with JSOX and other regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with the Subsidiary Accounting Teams to optimize financial operations and ensure proper procedures are followed at those locations
- Support integration of acquired entities from a general ledger and tax compliance perspective
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills٫ with accuracy and attention to detail
- Good experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Working knowledge of income tax filing and tax compliance for federal, state and local
- Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
- Good understanding of MS Office٫ especially Excel
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of team members
- Experience with multi-entity and international operations
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; a certification such as CPA or CMA, a plus
- 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
- Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Willing to embrace change and able to implement change
- High degree of accuracy
- Possess the highest level of integrity and ethics
- ASC606 Revenue recognition / Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting experience a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience with ERP systems is desirable
