This role sits within Corporate Accounting and supports the accounting execution, coordination, and reporting of capital transactions, corporate income tax, statutory adjustments, non-controlling interests, and external debt across the European platform. The role prepares core accounting analyses and entries, reviews special purpose vehicle balance sheets, and supports accurate reporting under local accounting rules, U.S. GAAP, IFRS, company accounting policies, and SOX internal controls. It partners with the European Accounting team and communicates with internal and external auditors, with opportunities to contribute to broader activities based on business needs and individual capabilities. Continuous improvement is part of the role, including identifying process opportunities and supporting the development and implementation of accounting procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare periodic reconciliations, account analyses, NAV calculations, financial statements for specific purposes, and journal entries for capital transactions and other Corporate Accounting areas.
- Review balance sheets of special purpose vehicles and deliver the related accounting analysis.
- Coordinate accounting activities for acquisitions, liquidations, mergers, and dispositions with the European Accounting team.
- Support corporate income tax accounting for several European countries.
- Ensure accounting activities comply with applicable local accounting rules, U.S. GAAP, IFRS, company accounting policies, and SOX internal controls.
- Communicate with internal and external auditors and respond to project and ad hoc accounting requests as needed.
- Identify process-improvement opportunities and support the development and implementation of new accounting procedures.

Required:
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills for reconciliations, account analyses, and financial reporting activities.
- Ability to apply accounting principles and procedures to journal entries, reconciliations, account analyses, and financial statements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to organize multiple priorities, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication in English.
- Experience using ERP systems in an accounting environment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s-level financial education preferred, or equivalent experience.
- PeopleSoft experience.
- Proficiency in another European language.
- Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.
