A bit about your role
The Senior Network Engineer – Core plays a key leadership role in driving design, delivery, capacity and optimisation of the Fixed Wireless Core network to meet design, performance, capacity, and cost targets. The role is responsible for ensuring network designs and projects meet capacity, and quality standards, while managing capacity planning, network expansion, and change governance.
It involves leading optimisation and acceptance activities, supporting continuous improvement, and guiding other engineers, including offshore, through knowledge sharing and technical leadership. The role also requires strong problem-solving, stakeholder collaboration, and decision-making to ensure efficient delivery and alignment with nbn engineering standards and business objectives. Additionally, the role focuses on stakeholder collaboration, mentoring engineers, uplifting team capability, and driving continuous improvement to enhance process timelines, accuracy and cost efficiencies.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise in nbn wireless core physical build, with solid knowledge of Fixed Wireless core networking, be an expert with Spatialnet PNI (Physical Network Inventory) tools and designs, and how the Fixed Wireless access networks integrate into the core domain.
They are process-driven, detail-oriented, and experienced in escalation management. The role requires advanced problem-solving, analytical and communication. The candidate should also exhibit strong decision-making ability, coaching and mentoring capability, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to work effectively under pressure while adhering to organisational policies and safety standards.
