The Payroll Operations Senior Coordinator – Off-Cycle Processing role is responsible for administering pay processing actions across multiple RTX business units including: Raytheon, Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Corporate. This role ensures accurate calculation, entry, reconciliation, and compliance for processes including but not limited to: off-cycle check processing, transfers, terminations, short‑term and long‑term military differential pay, and daily data changes according to federal regulations (USERRA), SOX controls, union CBAs, and RTX policies. This position will partner closely with the following teams: LOA, Payroll Operations, TLM, HR, and the business units to ensure timely and accurate payroll transaction processing.
What You Will Do
Complete multiple off-cycle payroll processing procedures while ensuring accurate earnings and deductions, and meeting strict payroll deadlines.
Apply state/local laws, union rules, and BU‑specific policies to transaction processing while supporting audit activities by maintaining accurate and timely documentation for all payroll actions.
Monitor and process changes to employee status (Active, Paid LOA, Return from LOA), performing the appropriate transactions associated with each.
Prepare, audit, and submit payment transactions related to terminations, transfers, and daily employee info changes for weekly, biweekly, and semi‑monthly pay cycles across all divisions.
Collaborate with the Payroll Service Center to load, validate, and reconcile payment batches.
Review and process military leave cases submitted via ServiceNow (SNOW) for Short and Long-Term Military leaves across all business units.
Collaborate with LOA Team, HR, Payroll Ops, and Time & Labor on case processing and employee inquiries.
Directly communicate results of calculations, discrepancies, and case resolutions to employees and stakeholders.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires an Associates degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Experience in payroll operations or an adjacent field, preferably in a large multi‑business unit organization.
6+ years of experience with payroll concepts including earnings, deductions, pretax adjustments, autopay, and offsets.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience working with tools such as ADP EV5, Workday, SNOW, and reporting systems.
Proficiency in analyzing Leave & Earnings Statement documents and applying military pay rates to payroll calculations.
Experience processing termination and transfer transactions related to final pay and other time-off payouts across business units.
Familiarity with SOX controls and payroll compliance processes.
Advanced Excel analytical skills (Pivot Tables, Xlookup, etc.)
Ability to work with complex multi‑system workflows, adhering to federal laws and regulations while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and audit skills.

The salary range for this role is 53,100 USD - 100,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
