The Senior Coordinator, Finance – Compliance & Operations is responsible for supporting finance compliance, operational accounting, reporting, and control activities across the Ireland finance team. This role helps ensure accurate financial processes, timely reconciliations, audit readiness, and effective support for month-end close, R&D accounting, inward processing, Concur, accounts receivable, inventory cycle count reporting, and related finance operations.
This position reports to the Manager Accounting and is part of the Finance team located in Lismeehan, O’Callaghan Mills, Co. Clare. This is a full-time, on-site temporary role supporting finance compliance and operations across four European sites.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Support regulatory compliance, financial controls, audit preparation, and related reporting activities to maintain strong finance governance.
- Coordinate month-end close support, R&D accounting, variance reporting, accounts receivable activity, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations using tools such as BlackLine.
- Manage inward processing administration and reporting, supporting accurate documentation and compliance with applicable requirements.
- Provide support for Concur travel and expense processes, including user support, issue resolution, and process follow-up where required.
- Support inventory cycle counts, reporting, and related finance activities, while assisting with ad hoc departmental requirements across European sites.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Leaving Certificate, diploma, or equivalent qualification in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline.
- Multiple years of experience in finance operations, accounting support, reconciliations, compliance, or a similar finance administration role.
- Experience using finance systems or tools such as Concur, BlackLine, ERP systems, or Microsoft Excel for reporting, reconciliations, or transaction processing.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required to support finance activities across European sites.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience supporting month-end close, R&D accounting, inward processing, audit requests, or inventory cycle count reporting in a regulated manufacturing or diagnostics environment.
- Experience working across multiple sites or supporting finance processes in a shared service, multinational, or matrixed environment.
