Job DescriptionAECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team is looking for a Senior Controllership Accountant to join our team in Bucharest, responsible for statutory and tax compliance at the legal entity level, overseeing all accounting activities, and ensuring accurate financial accounting and reporting in accordance with US GAAP and Romanian statutory standards.

The role is reporting to the Finance Director
Responsibilities:
· Active participating to internal and statutory accounting, controls, intercompany, treasury, and tax activities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and Romanian statutory standards.
· Overseeing key reconciliations (Oracle), Labor clearing detailed report and payroll analysis, Quarterly assets reconciliation, Statutory vs. Oracle monthly reconciliations.
· Ensure timely submission of all statutory reports and filings to fiscal authorities through external consultants.
· Review and validate tax calculations and controls to optimize company outcomes.
· Ensure compliance with Romanian regulations by Transfer Price market study, corporate allocation assessment validated by benefit test, Pilar II local reporting requirements and CbC Report.
· Implement and maintain regulatory compliance strategies aligned with Corporate and local procedures as per the areas of S2P, O2C, H2R and IT policies.
· Provides support in preparation of financial statements and coordinate with external consultants during financial, tax, and internal audit processes.
· Processing other reports assigned/necessary according to management requires
QualificationsRequirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is mandatory (one of these)
· Member of Chartered accountant CECCAR, CAFR, CCF, ACCA, CIMA would be an advantage
· Min. 6-8 years’ experience in Accounting and Financial Reporting, preferably in a multinational company.
· Fluent business English skills (both communication and writing);
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, willing for team working.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines, attention to detail.

· Strong organizational and planning skills.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
