Supports contracts for physical LNG, crude oil, refined products, and bio products by drafting and negotiating agreements, reviewing purchase contracts, validating ETRM trade entries, and advising trading and operations teams. Ensures trade documentation, controls, compliance, and administrative processes are completed accurately. Provides commercial and contractual guidance, mitigates risk, resolves discrepancies, and manages related analysis and projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating sale and purchase contracts in relation to physical LNG and Crude Oil derived Product / Bio Products.
- Reviewing incoming purchase contracts and responding to them in a timely manner.
- Validate trade entries and work closely with trading teams to ensure the accuracy of the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system, to ensure timely trade confirmation and resolution of any discrepancies.
- Providing basic contractual support and advice to traders, operators and other internal stakeholders in relation to contractual queries and any operational problems that may potentially arise.
- Providing pre and post deal commercial advice to traders, operators and relevant internal departments as necessary, ensuring optimum terms and conditions are negotiated and risks mitigated.
- Understand the associated compliance issues and critical controls affecting relevant trades and reporting potential problems to the relevant internal departments, as necessary.
- Assuming responsibility for controlling all relevant administration relating to trades which fall within given remit, including preparation of outward and review of inward contracts, as well as ensuring compliance by traders with all control requirements relating to deal entry and authorisation of trade documentation.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong educational background and/or directly relevant work experience.
- Good understanding of the energy trading industry and solid contractual background focused in physical commodity trading.
- Detailed knowledge of LNG and/or Refined Products trading is a prerequisite.
- Solid knowledge of contractual trading agreements, General Terms and Conditions, complex contractual arrangements (including LNG MSPAs), storage agreements etc advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Pro-active, self-motivated team player that builds strong relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Be diligent and dedicated to manage ad-hoc analysis and projects in a timely manner.
- Teamwork Skills – ability to work with others to accomplish group goals and implement process changes. Demonstrated teamwork inside and outside immediate area of responsibility.
