Ameresco has an immediate opening for a Senior Contract Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

Contract Management

· Support the bid, proposal & negotiation teams by providing contract analysis, including risk impact analysis, mitigation options and negotiation strategies, while ensuring compliance with business objectives & corporate policies

· Manage and update a portfolio of contracts & subcontracts from cradle to grave supporting the contract administration lifecycle including processes, tools and systems

· Establish & execute procurement timelines

· Participate in contracting strategy & execution

· Expedite legal review as needed

· Provide contract governance to ensure Service Level Agreements & Key Performance Indicators are maintained

Risk Management

· Identify & mitigate contractual risks, working closely with legal counsel and project teams to address potential issues and ensure project success

· Use legal resources and other subject matter experts to ensure all levels of risk are recognized and subsequently addressed through development of unique contract terms

· Create and manage a “project risk register” with contractual risks identified

Communications

· Assist/lead coordination efforts for Client meetings while serving as a focal point for communication to discuss contract terms, resolve issues, and ensue alignment with project objectives

· Provide contract briefings on contract status, risk mitigation & contingency plans to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment on project goals with internal & external stakeholders

· Liaise across functions in the preparation, review & negotiation of contractual documents while ensuing compliance with RFP requirements

· Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to understand business requirements, reflect those requirements accurately and determine appropriate level of service level agreements (SLA’s) to support those requirements

Project Management

· Utilize project management best practices to plan, execute, monitor and control project activities, ensuring alignment with organization objectives & customer requirements

· Lead investigations to issues and provide analysis & recommendations for resolution

· Resolve complex issues using professional concepts, company objectives, and/or industry best practices

· Serve as a resource and trusted advisor for the program and project management teams

Process Improvement

· Create & maintain an environment of continuous process improvement, pushing for process simplification & enhancements to fill process gaps

· Prioritize handling of multiple projects with ability to recalibrate and advise with shifting priorities

· Create and manage contract collaboration tools to streamline communication and document sharing between internal teams & clients

Other

· The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties and take on other responsibilities as dictated by events and circumstances

· Implement ethical judgement with the ability to function independently, excellent written and oral communications skills

· Proficiency in the use of Microsoft products, DocuSign and an aptitude for contract management systems

 

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience

· 7 years of applicable experience
