Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $93,000.00 - $109,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to document commercial leases and loans originated by Commerce Bank. These leases and loans range from $200,000 to $5,000,000 with varied equipment types for tax based commercial entities and tax-exempt entities such as municipalities, schools, and other entities.
Essential Functions
Act as subject matter expert in specialty areas, serving as a key resource for internal partners and a trusted point of contact for clients
Manager client communications and expectations while proactively addressing questions to ensure a seamless, client-focused experience
Verify approvals and conditions, along with reviewing lease and loan document requests and tracking any outstanding items
Assist with document negotiations with outside counsel and review to ensure accuracy
Review documentation requirements with clients to accomplish both the bank and client needs
Create lease and equipment loan documents through internal systems, ensuring accuracy with approvals, internal requirements, etc.
Prepare UCC financing statements to secure lien on collateral
Verify insurance coverage on financed assets
Set up escrow accounts and requests disbursement of funds
Prepare lease amendment documentation
Comprehend requests in order to produce, review, and explain ad-hoc reports to Senior Management
Identify efficiencies within the department; write policy and procedures for the department
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Strong knowledge of general legal principles related to contract work and lien issues through the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and motor vehicle titling lawns
Ability to quickly learn and properly apply bank policy to various factual scenarios and to learn various bank systems used to create loan documents
Strong analytical skills and ability to apply logic
Ability to work independently and manage time properly
· Ability to drive accuracy, mitigate risk, and improve turn around times
Ability to support team in management’s absence, providing continuity in day-to-day operations and assist with oversight responsibilities as needed
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
5+ years relevant industry experience relating to document creation required in commercial equipment loan or lease environment for a financial institution required
