Money stress is the biggest productivity killer in the workplace - My Money Matters exists to change that. We're building an app that improves employees' finances automatically every pay day - giving them financial tools that directly improve their financial health with less effort.

Every pay day is an opportunity to build better money habits. We make it easy. Employees can accelerate retirement savings with tax-efficient pension top-ups, build a safety net effortlessly with auto savings, or access their already-earned salary ahead of pay day for emergencies.

For employers, fewer employees with money worries means more focus on work. We're trusted by major organisations including the NHS, and we're growing fast.

About the Role

Financial education is how we earn trust and drive uptake. We're looking for a financial content leader to come and join our campaign against financial complexity to deliver targeted, useful and engaging content to our million plus users.

We're taking a fresh approach to financial guidance at My Money Matters. Studies show people don't want long, dense articles - they want relevant and actionable guidance, delivered in a style that fits their life.

While our background is in pensions, our future is broader. You'll own creation and delivery of financial education for employees across a range of money topics, in a range of formats - from long-form articles to snappy TikTok style short form.

Engagement is the leading indicator for our content: employees watching, attending, reading and coming back for more. This is a core acquisition and retention tool within our financial health proposition. When it comes time for a customer to renew, we'll be able to point to engagement metrics as a key reason for renewal.

What you'll do

Own our financial education content plan as it expands beyond pensions - what we teach, how we teach it, and how it reaches employees across articles, short-form video and webinars:

  • Set the quality bar and tone for all output

  • Write and deliver content yourself

  • Plan and deliver a regular programme of webinars

  • Work with our coaching team to support them in delivering content

  • Partner with the marketing team to produce a range of content

  • Work closely with product to build engaging in app experiences, with the help of Max, our AI coach

  • Define and track engagement metrics; views, attendance, reads, and return visits as our primary measure of content engagement and success

  • Draw on the broader team's financial expertise to ensure all our content is accurate, credible and compliant

On a typical day you might:

  • Write a new budgeting content series

  • Shoot vertical videos for our NHS audience with the marketing team

  • Work with our retirement experts to build out an in-person session

What we're looking for

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you:

  • An outstanding writer - First and foremost, you have deep experience in writing varied and compelling copy

  • High bar for content - You know what great educational content looks like across a range of formats, written, video, audio, and are confident to deliver it yourself.

  • Personal finance knowledge - You've got the subject knowledge to be credible across a wide range of money topics

  • You lead from the front - You get your hands dirty and galvanise teams

  • High-agency, get stuff done attitude - People see you as the driving force that "makes things happen"

  • Technically adept - You use AI to make you more efficient and handle new systems with ease

Nice to haves

  • Working knowledge of the financial promotions' regime (Fin Prom/COBS) and how it applies to consumer financial content

  • Experience in a B2B2C or employee benefits/financial wellbeing context
