Job Description

How should global money work? How do you take a complex, stressful experience and make it simple, calming even? How do you challenge the way it’s always been done? 

How do you help businesses and customers get paid in the best way for them, no matter where in the world the money needs to move from? 

How do you collaborate in a human-centred way to ship work you’re truly proud of?

These are just a few of the challenges a Senior Content Designer will work on as part of Wise’s global mission to build an open, fair, and human financial system. Right now we move £6 billion every month for over 12 million people. But we're only 2% done — because people without borders deserve money without borders.
 

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be working in the cross-functional Personal Onboarding Verification team — a team that helps customers onboard to Wise. 

You’ll be part of the Global KYC and Onboarding squad — a squad that makes onboarding to Wise safe, compliant and scalable. 

In this role, you’ll support personal customers to onboard to Wise quickly, easily and with confidence. You’ll help keep Wise safe and secure for our customers and balance meeting regulatory obligations with building world-class customer experiences. 

You’ll invest time in understanding our customers, their needs and our infrastructure. And you’ll design and deliver experiences that make onboarding clear and effortless, building trust with new and existing customers. 

You’ll work with your cross-functional partners to design and scale experiences that teams across Wise can use. 

You'll also be part of the Content Guild and will regularly collaborate with the content community across Wise.
 

Here’s how you’ll contribute:

  • You’ll use your expertise to discover, design and deliver simple, well-crafted and intuitive experiences that customers love

  • You’ll bring a sharp eye for detail and a systems thinking approach to solve problems and find scalable solutions 

  • You’ll influence teams and stakeholders to increase customer-centeredness and content quality across the squad

  • You’ll work with designers across the squad to build a standardised and seamless experience for customers

 

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Own content projects from end-to-end 

  • Define what great content looks like, then help deliver it

  • Be part of a positive change in the world. We’re fixing a broken system and putting people and businesses in control of their money

About you:

  • Accomplished Senior Content Designer with experience shipping world-class products
  • Hands on experience delivering product content in fast-paced, engineering-led environments

  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working in cross-functional teams 

  • You’re comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity and can successfully collaborate in this environment

  • Familiarity with design processes and experience validating how content solves real customer problems

  • Exceptional content craft and a desire for quality

  • Willingness to give and receive constructive feedback

 

Heads up, this probably isn’t for you if:

  • Your experience is mostly in marketing content, advertising, journalism or social media and you have no hands-on experience of content design or working in UX.

  • You’re not comfortable navigating complexity and working in a fast-paced environment

Hybrid Workspace

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.

We expect new joiners in the office most days to build connections and learn from colleagues for their first six months. After that, most Wisers split their working week between the office and home, typically coming in at least 12 times a month.
