Our Team:

Let's help our customers celebrate, share, and cherish all of life's special moments!

The Consumer category is an important division within the Vista portfolio and represents a significant part of the overall success of the company. Our aspiration within the Consumer category is to bring joy and uniqueness to all of life's special moments, from a new house to engagement/wedding, to having a baby and that child growing up to graduate from high school or college. Engaging and serving our customers through these life-stages and making their lives easier will allow us to build long-lasting relationships.

Vista has a key strategic initiative to build, nurture and elevate how we approach the Consumer business and the value it can deliver to our entire customer base. As a member of the team, you will be a part of important work that has the attention of senior and executive leadership. You'll be a key contributor and have exposure across multiple levels of the organization. The Senior Category Specialist reports into the Category Manager function and is in a unique position to contribute to the end-to-end management of the most important milestones (weddings, birthdays, holidays) and physical products (invitations, stationary, wall art, drinkware, home decor, apparel, etc.) that our customers shop. Specific responsibilities include:

What You Will Do:

  • Strategy- Support the Sr. Category Manager to define the use case and assortment strategy and positioning by maximizing consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and analytics to drive marketing, assortment, and experience improvements.
  • Product Management- Define and implement the right product assortment that meets the needs of our customers. You are expected to manage the product forecasting, sizing of new opportunities, and own the levers that drive profit and cash flow for our business, including new product introduction, quality improvements, and margin tactics
  • P&L Management- Own the P&L for a subset of the physical product categories under Consumer ownership
  • Product Setup- Work with your multi-functional counterparts to build our product catalog in our e-commerce platform - as well as allow for your team to include new site features that will educate and inspire new customers.
  • Operational Efficiency- You'll partner with your teammates to create scale and drive efficiency. You'll work with fellow Product Specialists responsible for other product categories to identify synergies - and lead cross-functional team members through the concept-to-launch process.

Your Qualifications:

At Vista, we are striving to hire individuals that add new ideas and perspectives to our teams and enhance our culture. No matter your background or work experience, we strongly encourage you to apply-even if you feel that you don't meet the exact requirements or have the same qualifications. You might be a great candidate for this or other opportunities.

  • Attention to detail. Executional excellence is critical to new product launch success. Making sure all aspects are covered will set you - and the projects you help run - up for success.
  • Solutions focused approach. We want people who identify great solutions for the opportunities we face. Show us how you identify ways to improve how work gets done and then rally the team to implement the changes.
  • Takes initiative and chances. We love when we're right but would rather do something and learn than do nothing. Show us where you've been willing to stick your neck out when you don't have perfect (or any) data.
  • Thrives in a complex world. Our corporate strategy is evolving, and our organization is complex. We are a growing and highly matrixed, global organization and face challenges typical of a company our size. Show us how you've been successful in this type of environment.
  • Collaborates well with others. You'll be relying on multiple other teams to get things done - inside and outside of Vista. It's important to hold them accountable in a way that inspires them to want to work with you. Show us what it takes to be a great partner for both our customers and the people we do business with.

Nice to Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from an accredited college/university and a minimum of two years of relevant product experience at an ecommerce company
  • Experience with Agile methodology
