Team Summary

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa's clients, including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operations and macroeconomics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

 

The VCA team within Japan provides a comprehensive range of consulting services and solutions to our clients in Japan, that address unique challenges in areas such as strategic growth, profitability, risk management and digital strategy.

 

VCA Managed Services members play a key role in enhancing the partnership with one of Visa Japan’s largest clients by supporting strategic planning and implementation of their most strategic initiatives.

 

What a Senior Manager, VCA Managed Services does at Visa:

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to drive consulting engagements and Visa solution sell-in for one of our largest clients in Japan, contributing to strategy and new business development in their B2B business, application of agentic AI, and other strategic agenda.

 

The Senior Manager will be responsible for the client-facing portion of client engagements and will act as the main focal point, coordinating between the client team, other internal stakeholders, and outsourcing partners (as applic. Able).

Responsibilities:

  • Drive initiative implementation to en. Able client’s strategic projects by applying Visa solutions and consulting methodologies, such as clarifying key questions, gathering and analyzing quantitative data, and assisting in developing strategic recommendations in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Example areas of support include:
    • New B2B business strategy development support and execution
    • Application of AI/agentic AI into their workflows
    • Contributing to the sell-in of new Visa solutions and supporting project management activities
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with client managers and key stakeholders to facilitate project execution and ensure client needs are met.
  • Deliver high-quality project outcomes by utilizing consulting and/or product management skills, coordinating with subject matter experts, including data analysts, product specialists, and client service representatives in Japan and overseas.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, supporting their professional growth and maintaining high standards for project deliver. Ables.
  • Develop expertise in relevant subject areas, identify emerging trends, and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practice documentation.
  • Oversee project setup and administrative tasks, including preparing contracts, supporting internal reporting, and following compliance procedures to ensure smooth project delivery.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
You will bring solid professional experience and a strong curiosity about the payments industry, eager to deepen your expertise by working with an experienced team. You are client-focused, comfort. Able managing projects or workstreams from planning through execution, and enjoy collaborating closely with clients to support their business goals.

Specific skills and experience required:
- Fluent Japanese and business-level proficiency in English
- 8+ years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, product management, or project management
- Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional, and cross-regional projects
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual rigor
- Strong team orientation with a collaborative, diplomatic, and adapt. Able style. Effective in a matrixed organization
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality and rigor in reports and data analysis
- Excellent presentation skills, with strong oral and written communication abilities
- Self-motivated and results-driven. Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Flexible mindset with resilience. Able to adapt to changing circumstances and client needs
- Commercial awareness, with experience supporting business case development and understanding of project ROI
- Interest in analytics and its role in informing strategy and business decisions. Able to generate action. Able insights from data
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire team members toward high performance

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the payments, including issuing and acquiring businesses. Understanding of banking or technology sectors is also a plus
- Experience in business planning, product development, service design and marketing within the B2C industry
- PMP certification or experience in technical project management
- Familiarity with statistical analysis, modeling, or scoring methods
