As a Senior Consultant specializing in Workday Payroll, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex Workday solutions for clients across various industries. You will lead engagements, act as a subject matter expert on Workday Payroll configurations, and drive strategic conversations around process optimization and system adoption. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, along with the ability to manage teams and client relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle Workday Payroll implementations, from requirements gathering and design to configuration, testing, and deployment.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on payroll-related Workday issues, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
Guide clients through payroll configuration decisions, compliance considerations, and best practices.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior consultants and client team members.
Troubleshoot complex payroll issues, conduct root cause analysis, and drive resolution strategies.
Manage project timelines, risks, scope, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Financials) to ensure seamless integration.
Provide strategic advice to clients on process optimization, system enhancements, and future-state payroll models.
Qualifications:
3–5 years of hands-on experience in Workday Payroll configuration and implementation.
Proven experience leading Workday projects or large workstreams with multiple stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of U.S. and/or global payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance standards.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives and technical teams alike.
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field.
Workday Payroll Pro Certification is a plus.
