West Monroe is currently seeking a Senior Consultant with Wealth and Consulting experience to join our Chicago team. Our Financial Services practice is a growing team that focuses on business and technology projects for banks, wealth management, and insurance clients. We help our clients with operating models and strategies and also roll up our sleeves to implement the technology, platforms, data and analytics tools, and the related change management. The role will involve applying knowledge and experience to tailor solutions, helping our Clients gain competitive advantage in their markets. You will help business and technology executives solve key problems within the financial services industry, begin mentoring junior consultants, while building the practice and your career at one of the best places to work.

- Work with private equity and strategic acquirers regarding mergers, acquisition and spinoffs, due diligence, and post-close integration and optimization
- Managing / leading the work of others
- Estimating project scope, work effort, cost, and associated risks
- Wealth Industry Experience
- Meaningful understanding of predominant wealth management business models: RIA, broker/dealer, and/or bank wealth
- Strong understanding of some or all of the following:
- Wealth Management Offerings / Segmentation
- Marketing / Business Development / Client Acquisition
- Proposal / Onboarding
- Portfolio Construction and trading/rebalancing
- Client Servicing / Operations
- Regulatory / Compliance
- Data Strategy / Reporting / Analytics
- Client and Advisor Experience
- Familiarity with retirement plan, alternative asset, annuities, and other nuanced products/services
- Wealth Technology, Architecture, and Delivery
- Vendor Analysis / Selection o Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Experience
- Wealth Technology Architecture
- System Implementation / Integration, Testing, Training o Familiarity with bank and brokerage custody, and clearing broker offers
- Experience with leading portfolio accounting/reporting, rebalancing/trading, CRM, financial planning, custody/clearing and other wealth advisory platforms and technologies
- Experience with emerging technologies related to data, AI, and machine learning
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ combined years of experience working in Wealth Management in one or more of the following segments: RIA, Broker/Dealer, Bank Trust Department, Wealth Tech Provider
- Strong entrepreneurial, analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills
- Strong communication skills to be able to work with Client representatives at all levels
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of one year of employment.
