Nordic Global is seeking a skilled and client-focused Technical Consultant to join our healthcare consulting team on a W2-hourly contract basis. In this role, you will partner with healthcare clients to design, implement, and support technical solutions that improve clinical, operational, and financial outcomes. Specific roles may require up to 25% travel, unless otherwise specified. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to healthcare clients, understanding their business needs and delivering technical solutions.
- Lead the implementation and configuration of software systems, platforms, or data integrations (e.g., EHR, RPA, cloud systems, analytics platforms).
- Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and coordinate with development or product teams as needed.
- Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle—from discovery through deployment and optimization.
- Manage client communications, timelines, and expectations while delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, data anomalies, or system behavior with a problem-solving mindset.
- Support the creation of documentation, technical diagrams, and training materials tailored to client needs.
- Stay current on healthcare industry trends, regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and best practices in health IT.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Customer Success.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience as a technical consultant, systems analyst, implementation specialist, or similar client-facing role.
- Experience working in or with healthcare organizations (e.g., hospitals, payers, providers, health tech vendors).
- Strong technical skills in one or more areas: EHR systems (Epic, Cerner), HL7/FHIR, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), APIs, data pipelines, scripting languages (Python, SQL, etc.), software development, or system development
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of healthcare data privacy and security standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
