Senior Consultant - Sustainability

We are seeking a talented, motivated and passionate ESG focussed individual to join our Sustainability consulting services team. The primary function of this role is to deliver on the consulting projects in the area of ESG and Climate Change , with particular focus on Materiality Assessment, ESG Frameworks, GHG Accounting, Climate Risks, EU CSRD Requirements and Project Management.

You will help our clients operate and perform more sustainably! The focus of your work will be to assist clients with ESG and corporate sustainability frameworks, measurement through KPIs and reporting/disclosure. This may take the form of sustainability frameworks, standards, strategy, stakeholder engagement and materiality assessment, reporting, data management or other environmental sustainability-oriented projects like carbon management, CSR reporting. Activities will also involve project management and interaction with clients. Your day-to-day activities may include:

• Delivering and managing multiple concurrent consulting projects addressing ESG and corporate sustainability frameworks, standards, strategy, stakeholder engagement and materiality assessment, reporting, data management etc.
• Working with Excel (or other data formats) to manage comprehensive data and data structures
• Performing analysis on Environmental KPIs like climate change, energy, water, waste, and emissions and cli
• Preparing and presenting project results in PowerPoint or other formats,
• Writing reports and documenting your project work,
• Ensuring your projects adhere to scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and
• Working together with Sphera team members across different specialties and regions.

Requirements

• BE /B. Tech in Chemical/Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering and M. Tech/ MBA degree in environmental engineering, science, Energy, Sustainability or related field.
• 5-6 years’ experience and functional knowledge in the area of ESG and Corporate Sustainability standards like GRI, CDP, DJSI, TCFD, Science Based Targets, Integrated Reporting etc.
• A positive “can-do” attitude
• Knowledge and passion for sustainability, environmental systems, and/or climate change.
• Strong quantitative or technical background with an excellent aptitude for analytical thinking. Natural curiosity to investigate issues, conduct research, design solutions and translate results into business practices.
• Good oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate issues, give presentations, and prepare formal written reports.
• Self-motivated and organized; able to simultaneously work on multiple assignments and to work both independently as well as on teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
