Summary:
In this individual contributor role, you will partner with hospital clients to identify, prioritize, and execute cost savings opportunities across clinical supply categories. You will leverage clinical category knowledge, supply analytics, and the Aptitude platform to support data-informed decision-making, advance standardization and contracting strategies, and deliver measurable financial and operational outcomes. This role requires strong client engagement, analytical storytelling, and the ability to translate complex supply and utilization data into actionable recommendations for supply chain leaders, clinical stakeholders, and executives.
Responsibilities:
Identify, analyze, and support execution of cost savings opportunities across physician preference items, medical/surgical, surgical services, and related clinical supply categories.
Analyze utilization, variation, pricing, and purchasing patterns to develop prioritized savings pipelines aligned to client clinical, operational, and financial goals.
Partner with hospital supply chain leaders, clinical stakeholders, and executives to present findings, facilitate decision-making, and support adoption of recommended strategies.
Support successful and sustainable implementation of technologies, analytics tools, and associated resources at hospital client sites.
Interpret results, organize data, and develop insights that support change management, stakeholder alignment, and executive-level storytelling.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing engagement, business reviews, training, and collaborative problem-solving.
Leverage analytics platforms to support sourcing strategies, Request for Proposal (RFP) execution, contracting decisions, and communication of Aptitude platform value.
Deliver ongoing training, technology support, and consultative guidance to hospital clients and internal stakeholders.
Conduct contract maintenance activities, including product, price, and client updates.
Share best practices and support peer learning related to data interpretation, insight development, and recommendation framing.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree preferred; advanced degree desired.
5 or more years of relevant experience required.
Experience in supply chain, clinical category management, value analysis, healthcare consulting, or a healthcare provider setting preferred.
Experience supporting sourcing strategies, analytics platforms, Request for Proposal (RFP) execution, contracting decisions, or supply standardization initiatives preferred.
Business and financial acumen, with the ability to quantify challenges, assess opportunities, and recommend actionable solutions.
Ability to interpret complex data and present insights clearly and concisely using Microsoft Office, analytics platforms, and AI-enabled tools to support efficiency, storytelling, and decision-making.
Experience supporting client implementations, including project planning, timeline management, and cross-functional coordination, preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, facilitation, and client relationship management skills.
Ability to engage with senior leaders and influence stakeholders through data-driven recommendations.
Willingness to travel.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
