The Portfolio Enablement Lead is a senior individual contributor responsible for enabling disciplined execution, transparency, and decision-making across a complex technology and business portfolio. This role partners closely with IT and business leaders to ensure strategic initiatives are well-structured, prioritized, and executed effectively—without direct people management responsibility.
The role acts as a force multiplier for the VP and leadership team by driving portfolio rigor, improving operating cadence, and ensuring that strategy translates into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
Portfolio & Financial Management (Budget + Forecasting)
- Own and run Biopharma Solutions IT budget planning and management processes, including annual planning, in-year forecasting, variance tracking, and leadership-ready rollups.
- Partner with Finance and portfolio leaders to ensure timely, accurate inputs into enterprise financial processes and templates.
- Build a consistent operating view of portfolio spend and capacity, highlighting risks, tradeoffs, and decision points.
SFP Enablement Across All 3 Areas of Your Org
- Coordinate Strategic & Financial Planning (SFP) activities across the three areas in your organization: timeline management, artifact readiness, stakeholder alignment, and submission quality control.
- Drive consolidation of assumptions, dependencies, and narrative across SFP inputs to ensure a cohesive story and “exec-ready” documentation.
- Maintain an SFP artifact repository and reusable templates (business case slide, FAQ inputs, investment narratives).
Run Operational Reviews (Operating Rhythm + Performance)
- Plan, organize, and facilitate monthly/quarterly Operational Reviews (agenda, pre-reads, dashboards, decision capture, actions).
- Standardize content quality and performance reporting across teams (KPIs, highlights, risks/asks, and follow-ups).
- Track action items to closure and ensure owners/next steps are clear.
Organize & Facilitate Product Reviews
- Own logistics and facilitation for bi-annual/quarterly Product Reviews: scheduling, stakeholder prep, content governance, pre-reads, and meeting flow.
- Ensure product teams provide consistent updates on: outcomes/value, roadmap progress, financials, risks, and decisions required.
- Drive post-review follow-through and action tracking.
Lead the AI Champions Program (Biopharma Solutions IT)
- Own the AI Champions community model for Biopharma Solutions IT: charter, membership, expectations, and operating cadence.
- Equip champions to identify high-impact use cases, promote AI literacy, and publish wins to normalize AI-enhanced workflows.
- Partner with enterprise AI governance and leaders to reinforce responsible AI use and alignment with AI standards/policies.
People Manager Forum + Engagement Leadership
- Design and run a Quarterly People Managers Forum: content agenda, leadership enablement topics, cross-team sharing, and follow-ups.
- Lead engagement activities for Biopharma Solutions IT (recognition moments, pulse feedback loops, community building, development programming).
Qualifications
- 8-12 years of experience, preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Experience in portfolio operations, PMO, finance operations, strategy ops, or transformation roles
- Experience building communities of practice / champions programs and leading adoption initiatives
- Familiarity with responsible AI governance concepts and cross-functional operating models
