By delivering objective, data-driven research, program planning and development, technical assistance, implementation, post-implementation analytics, and evaluations, OSC/Lewin supports current program activities, informs future program investments and supports strategic decision processes that improve the health and well-being of the nation's citizens.
The Senior Consultant of Payment Model Technical Assistance will support technical assistance efforts, working on the development of high-quality materials that build participant understanding of model requirements and equip them to succeed under value based payment approaches.
Working collaboratively with senior leaders and cross functional teams across the organization, the Senior Consultant will deliver exceptional client service, produce high quality, timely deliverables, and drive innovation across the market.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Engage, develop, and sustain client relationships through policy consultation, strategic guidance, and thought leadership
  • Support development of technical assistance materials that translate model requirements into actionable guidance for participants, including webinars, virtual office hours, written guidance, toolkits, FAQs, and other learning resources
  • Mentor and develop staff to strengthen technical, analytical, and problem solving capabilities
  • Ensure consistently high standards of accuracy, quality control, and attention to detail across all deliverables
  • Collaborate effectively as a senior member of multidisciplinary project teams
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors
  • Support business development and growth activities, including capture and proposal response

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of relevant health policy industry experience in healthcare consulting, program implementation, quality improvement, evaluation, and/or policy expertise
  • 2+ years experience working on value-based care payment initiatives and supporting technical assistance activities
  • Demonstrated experience in cross contractor coordination, managing subcontractors, and leading cross-functional project teams
  • Broad understanding of federal health policy issues, with ability to work in multiple areas serving as a subject matter expert
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting business development efforts, including supporting capture strategies and contributing to proposal development
  • Experience with working with Center of Medicare and Medicaid innovation alternative payment models

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
