Your Impact at dss+

You will lead specialist workstreams within complex client engagements, applying deep expertise to solve operational and technical challenges. Working closely with clients and project teams, you will help organisations strengthen capability, improve performance, and deliver sustainable operational improvements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead technical or specialist workstreams within consulting engagements

  • Provide subject matter expertise across Operational Risk Management initiatives

  • Lead Critical Risk Management programmes and assessments

  • Facilitate BowTie workshops and major risk identification exercises

  • Support the design and implementation of operational improvement solutions

  • Facilitate workshops, assessments, and stakeholder discussions with clients

  • Analyse operational risks, systems, and performance improvement opportunities

  • Advise client leaders on safety leadership, risk governance, and risk-based decision making

  • Mentor and support junior consultants and project teams

  • Contribute to capability development, methodologies, and knowledge sharing across dss+

Experience
  • Experience in management consulting or industrial operations environments

  • Deep expertise in Operational Risk Management and Safety

  • Experience leading workstreams and delivering complex client engagements

  • Knowledge of operational challenges within asset-intensive industries

  • Extensive experience within manufacturing, infrastructure, construction or heavy industrial environments

  • Experience leading safety transformation and critical risk management initiatives

  • Significant experience engaging senior operational and executive stakeholders

Capabilities
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving capability

  • Ability to lead workshops, assessments, and stakeholder discussions

  • Strong communication and client engagement skills

  • Comfortable guiding teams and contributing to capability development

  • Advanced knowledge of BowTie methodology and Critical Risk Management

  • Strong technical understanding of operational and process safety risks

Education & Languages
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

  • Safety Engineering qualification strongly preferred

  • Fluency in English required

  • Portuguese required
