We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) Architect / Consultant to act as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers. This role will lead identity modernization initiatives, assess and optimize existing MIM deployments, design hybrid identity architectures, and guide migrations to modern cloud-based identity governance solutions.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in IAM, hands-on experience with MIM/FIM, and a strong background in hybrid identity, customer consulting, and Microsoft identity technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor for enterprise customers using Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM).

• Lead identity transformation and modernization initiatives.

• Conduct technical workshops, architecture reviews, and operational health assessments.

• Design and validate hybrid identity architectures integrating:

  • Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM)

  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

  • Active Directory

  • Azure Active Directory Connect / Entra Connect

  • Identity Governance solutions

  • Privileged Identity Management (PIM)

• Provide technical guidance for:

  • User provisioning and deprovisioning

  • Role-based access control (RBAC)

  • Self-service password reset (SSPR)

  • Group and role management

  • Synchronization and metaverse design

  • Identity governance processes

• Support migration from legacy IAM platforms and MIM to modern cloud-based identity governance solutions.

• Troubleshoot complex identity lifecycle, synchronization, and provisioning issues.

• Deliver remediation plans and architectural recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM).

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) or Forefront Identity Manager (FIM).

• Experience designing and supporting hybrid identity solutions.

• Required experience migrating customers from MIM to modern cloud-based identity governance solutions.

• Strong understanding of:

  • Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)

  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

  • Entra Connect / Azure AD Connect

  • LDAP

  • Kerberos

  • SAML

  • OAuth

  • OpenID Connect

  • SCIM

• Experience with:

  • Windows Server

  • PowerShell automation

  • SQL Server

  • Enterprise provisioning systems

  • Identity synchronization platforms

• Strong communication skills and experience engaging enterprise and executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Entra Identity Governance

• Experience with Zero Trust security architecture

• Knowledge of SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, Ping Identity, or similar IAM platforms

• Familiarity with:

  • Microsoft Sentinel

  • Defender for Identity

  • Conditional Access

  • Privileged Identity Management (PIM)

  • Access Reviews

  • Lifecycle Workflows
